Forestry and Range Mgmt
Project:  Identify and remove ladder trees and ground cover invasive species from the area around heritage trees (oaks and cedar elms).  Since the ladder trees are ash juniper, and Bull Creek Preserve is in the golden warbler habitat, would need to secure prior approval from Watershed Protection to remove them.  Drag slash to designated areas.

Picture
Forestry and Range Mgmt Project:  Cut lower limbs (limb up) on cedar brush patches, to build canopy and reduce fire danger.  Leave limbs on the ground, perpendicular to water flow to slow it.

Picture
Forestry and Range Mgmt Project:  Create water retention pond around culvert to improve water access for surrounding trees.  Restore rocks to gully to graduate and filter the flow of water to the creek.

Picture
Soil and Water Conservation Project:  Bring slash to cover old roads; walk on it to break it up to slow erosion and improve soil.

Invasive Species Removal Project: Tag and remove ligustrum and other invasives from creek bed.  Create an education campaign for neighboring apartment dwellers and homeowners on damage that ligustrum does to creeks.
